Nutrition Programs
Each child on the spectrum is unique, with unique behavioral characteristics, dietary and nutritional needs. I take a holistic approach in treating your child. You can be assured that my recommendations, whether dietary, supplementation, healing of the gut or immune system, are all based on scientific and clinical evidence and are designed to best meet the needs of your child.
Getting Started
This is the program for those who are new to dietary and biomedical intervention for healing their child. This program focuses primarily on establishing a healthful diet and eliminating the most common problematic foods and substances from your child’s diet.
Initial and periodic assessments of your child’s autistic symptoms will be conducted using standardized tools. This will enable objective evaluations of the success of dietary and/or supplementation protocols and point toward areas of greatest concern.
Comprehensive
The objective of this program is to enable your child to advance on the road toward recovery and to achieve their highest developmental potential. While complete recovery is not always achievable, it is possible. However, I do not promise, nor should you expect, that your child will be “cured” of autism. Every child is unique, with unique potentials. What I can promise you is this – I will do my best to assist in this endeavor. This program is open-ended. You can expect at least three to six months, but we can continue for as long as we see continued progress for your child.
Consultation
The objective of this program is to work with you on areas where your child needs further specific intervention. This may involve assessment of their nutritional status or the adequacy of their dietary intake; address feeding issues; evaluation of their supplement regimen; the need for further lab testing; sleep issues; GI issues, etc. This may be a good fit for families who have been working on biomedical intervention on their own or with another practitioner, but wish to have a “second opinion” or would like to try another approach.
